Founder of Bob's Red Mill Visits Campus

People Before Profit - The Inspiring Story of Bob Moore Bob Moore of Bob's Red Mill recently spent a day on campus to interact with students and present a public lecture as part of the School of Business Executive in Residence Day. Moore's visit also included a Q&A session with business students and a classroom visit in which he critiqued students' business plans - certainly a unique opportunity for the university's aspiring entrepreneurs.

Moore is well known not only for the natural food products his company makes, but also for his dedication to his employees. On his 81st birthday, Moore surprised all his employees by giving them total ownership of Bob's Red Mill through an Employee Share Ownership Program (ESOP), a move that made national headlines.

Executive in Residence Day

The School of Business' Executive in Residence Day is designed to bring business executives to campus where they engage students and faculty in the critical business issues of the day. The purpose is to better prepare our business students for the professional world as well as help our business faculty be more effective in the classroom.

Executives attend and participate in actual business classes, informally network with students and give a public lecture at the end of the day.
